Mexican Floral Skull
Plaque depicting a skull made up and decorated with flowers to celebrate the Mexican Day of the Dead festival.
This decoration can be placed indoors or outdoors, it can also be hung on a wall because it has fasteners.
Contrary to popular belief, Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is not a Mexican version of Halloween.
Although related, these two annual events differ greatly in terms of traditions and tone. While the last day of October is Halloween, which is a time of terror and pranks, the Día de los Muertos festivities take place on the first two days of November, in an explosion of color and joy. The theme remains death, but it is about showing love and respect for family members who are no longer with us.
In cities and towns across Mexico, people who participate in this celebration wear makeup and costumes, hold parades and parties, sing and dance, and make offerings to lost loved ones.
